Restrictions exist to prohibit and regulate noise within the Township of King.  For information, review the Noise Control By-law 81-142. The noise control by-law includes time restrictions for certain activities in residential areas, i.e. outdoors - excessive amplification of sound, persistent barking, calling or whining by any domestic pet or any other animal kept or used for any purpose other than agriculture, operation of any equipment in connection with construction, loading, unloading, delivering, packing, unpacking, or otherwise handling any containers, products, materials, as well as motorized noise. 

Application for an exemption :

Special events to be held within the Township of King such as outside events with amplification:  ie: wedding, anniversary, or club event, may be granted an exemption.  Applicants are to request the exemption in writing, well in advance of the planned event, and submit the request to the Clerks Department.  For additional information, call the Clerks Department at 905-833-5321.
