The Township of King requires dog owners to comply with a number of bylaws aimed at reducing conflicts between dogs, their owners and other members of the community.

Licensing your Dog 

Every owner of a dog shall, on or before the 15th day of April in each and every year, or upon becoming the owner of a dog, register each such dog with the Township of King and procure a Licence / dog tag for each dog owned. 

Every dog shall be inoculated with an anti-rabies vaccine. Proof of rabies vaccination from a practicing veterinarian must be supplied upon registration, or renewal of registration, of any dog.  When you acquire a puppy you are required to obtain a dog licence/tag, the puppy will be exempt from having a rabies vaccine until 6 months of age.
