Animal Control Services for the Township are Changing

As of May 1, 2011, the Township of King, along with the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury, have contracted the services of the City of Vaughan Animal Control Division to conduct dog control and provide kennel services for our Municipalities.

You will notice a new animal control vehicle patrolling our streets. This vehicle will have three municipal decals - Township of King, Bradford West Gwillimbury, and City of Vaughan - indicating our joint partnership. The Township has arranged for patrols to be conducted in shifts, affording the community early morning and evening hours for monitoring of parks, municipal roadways and sidewalks for issues relating to licensing, dogs running at large, and stoop/scoop offences, etc.

In addition, there is now a toll free telephone line for animal control dispatch. All complaints with respect to dog control will be logged and dispatched through this one central number. If you have any Animal Control complaints or questions, please call: 1 (855) 227-7297 (PAWS).
