Friday June 1 – Free Youth Shinny at the Trisan Centre (5:00-5:30pm)

Youth shinnies are open to youth aged 13-17 who wish to improve their hockey skills and get some extra ice time. pick-up games are planned by those in attendance and goalies play for free. All players must wear helmets and gloves; full equipment is highly recommended. For more information please contact 905-939-1216.

 

Saturday June 2 - Drop-In Climb at Cold Creek Conservation Area (11:30-3:30)

Visit Cold Creek to participate in a FREE Drop-In Climb and test your skills on our Challenge Course and Rock Climbing Tower.  All supplies will be provided.  Please Note: Closed toed shoes must be worn to climb.  All climbers must be 7 years of age or older to participate.  This event is weather dependent. Sunday June 3 – Take a hike on King City Trails

One of King City's best kept secrets! The King City Trails stretch for over 4 km's where users can enjoy a wide range of activities including, running, walking, cycling and bird watching. Click here for more information on the trials and to view a trail map.

 

Monday June 4 – Skating at the Trisan Centre

Tuesday June 5 – Pickleball for Seniors at King City Public School  (7pm -9pm)

Pickleball is an easy to learn paddle sport which can be played by anyone, regardless of age or athletic ability. This program is open to all skills levels no registration is needed. Wednesday June 6 - Ready, Set Go! King City Library Program

Each week we will get ready, get set, and go on a new adventure to a new place! Includes an imagination station, crafts, costumes box and parachute play. Thursday June 7 – Drop-In Electric Model Flying at the Trisan Centre (7pm-10pm)

Friday June 8 – Enjoy a free day of Fitness activities at the Trisan Centre

Saturday June 9 – King City Craft Beer and Food Truck Festival

Sunday June 10 – Tasca Park is one of King Township's premier outdoor facilities

Within this park, patrons can enjoy 1 km paved fitness track that features four different fitness activity stations where users can test their physical fitness levels. To learn more about King Township parks and trails click here​.  

 

Monday June 11 – Explore the Trails at Cold Creek Conservation Area!

Tuesday June 12 – Mountain Bike Race Series

Are you interested in joining a mountain bike race series in a friendly and non-competitive environment – than the King Weekly Race Series is for you! All interested riders must pre-register with Evolution Cycles and obtain an Ontario Cycling Association Citizens Permit. Community Playgroup is a place for parents, caregivers and children to meet, find support and have fun in a relaxed, informal setting.  No pre-registration is required. This is a parent/caregiver participation class. In recognition of June is Parks and Recreation Month this class will be delivered free of charge! Join for a free yoga class in the park (weather permitting). In celebration of June is Parks and Rec Month join us for a free public skate at the Trisan Centre from 2pm – 3:20pm.

 

Monday June 18 – Play a game of basketball or pick up Hockey at one of the Township's outdoor courts

The courts are located on site at the Nobleton Arena (15 Old King Road, Nobleton) and the King City Arena (25 Doctors Lane, King City ON). 

 

Tuesday June 19 – Seniors Hike at Cold Creek Conservation Area (6pm-7pm)

In celebration of National Pollinator Week join us at Blue Heron Park in King City for a community wildflower planting and learn how to create a pollinator habitat. Monday June 25 - Check out the Snoezelen Room at the Nobleton Arena (8:30am-4:30pm)

A Snoezelen Room is a multisensory environment used as a form of therapy for individuals with specials need. This summer a Snoezelen Room will be constructed at the Nobleton Arena to better support our summer camper's with special needs. The creation of the Snoezelen room is an exciting opportunity for the Township of King to continue to grow in its accessibility practices.  Interested in seeing the space yourself? Thursday June 28 - Carpet Bowling for Seniors

On each Thursday, the King City Seniors host an afternoon of Carpet Bowling at the King City Arena (25 Doctors Lane, King City). All seniors are invited to attend. The grand tradition of Canada's celebration at Tyrwhitt Park in Kettleby continues. Presented by the Kettleby Village Association in partnership with the Township of King. Bring the family and join us for old-fashioned fun and games for kids of all ages, including stage entertainment, delicious foods and Fireworks to complete the day.​
