The closures are required to complete grade changes necessary for the restaging of traffic on Lloydtown-Aurora Road. When the ramps reopen, traffic will be diverted to the new roadway and bridge.

​The Highway 400 southbound on ramp and northbound off ramp to/from Lloydtown-Aurora Road.

​Temporary Park Closure​Dean Plummer Park, 96 Parkheights Trail, Nobleton, ON​November 2020 until spring 2021.​​Replacement of rubber surface.  
Residents are encouraged to use Tasca Park at 49 Parkheights Trail, Nobleton, until repairs are completed.
​Road ClosurePhase 2, Contract 3 sanitary sewer and concurrent works in Nobleton will take place in and around the following roadways: Sheardown Drive, Dobson Court, Cain Court, Hazelbury Drive, Chamberlain Court, Russell Snider Drive, Witherspoon Way, Mactaggart Drive, Holden Drive, Robb Drive and McCutcheon Avenue affecting approximately 200 homes.​Early October with expected completion early November, 2020. ​​Nobleton Sanitary Sewer Installation

Nobleton sewer works. King Township has started the third contract of the second phase of providing infrastructure for residents to connect to the municipal sewer system in Nobleton.

Weather permitting, work is scheduled to take about 27 months to complete.

The contractor is continuing with sanitary sewer installation on Chamberlain Court and then will proceed along Sheardown Drive.

Base asphalt is expected to be installed by the middle of December in the Sheardown and McCutcheon area.​

​Temporary Lane Reductions​King Road and Jane St.: King Horn Bridge and Jane Street Humber River Bridge

Four (4) occurring over the summer. The fourth closure took place on August 18th, 2020.

​Intersection Improvements
During construction, the intersection will remain open to traffic and access will be maintained, however temporary lane clousres may be required.
​Weston Road, and the north side of King Road​Until early September, 2020. Temporary lane closures may be required , Monday to Friday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

 

​The Regional Municipality of York continues to improve the intersection of King Road and Weston Road in the Township of King. 

Remaining work includes:

·       Work on the north side of King Road, including:

  • Road widening
  • Installation of retaining walls
  • Constructing the road side slopes and drainage channels for water flow
  • Installation of permanent traffic signals at King Road and Weston Road
  • Restoring the boulevards and construction area
  • Final asphalt paving on King Road and Weston Road 
​Township Facility Closures and Program CancellationsKing Township has re-opened some facilities and is now offering in-person services, subject to demand and in conjunction with current public health protocols.​ Please click on the COVID-19 Precaution link for current information.​ Until further notice.​​COVID-19 Precaution ​
​​Temporary Road Closure​16th Sideroad at the Highway 400 overpass. Traffic will not be able to cross under Hwy. 400 until end of 2020.

It is anticipated that the ​16th Sideroad will open to traffic by end of 2020 - although the construction on top will still continue​​.
