Instructions to Submit an Application During Office Closure (due to COVID-19 Emergency)
Due to COVID-19, all Township public service counters are closed.
Submission of all Committee of Adjustment applications (i.e. Consent & Minor Variance Applications) can be submitted via drop off, mail or courier, together with the required fee and supporting documents (payments are to be made via cheque and payable to the "Township of King"):

Applications must be completed in full and one (1) hardcopy complete set of drawings (i.e. site grading plans, elevation drawings, etc.) is to be provided to the attention of the Committee of Adjustment via mail or drop off. Please send an email to email@example.com to advise that the submission of an application has taken place. Please ensure to include all PDF documents including the application form via USB for review as staff are currently working remotely.
All applications must be commissioned prior to the submission of a minor variance or consent application to the Committee of Adjustment.
Drop off of applications and pick-up of notice signs for the Committee of Adjustment can be completed via the drop off/pick up area located on the East Wing of the Township Municipal Centre located at 2585 King Road, King City, ON from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Please note the feed will only be live during the Committee of Adjustment meeting, and the link will be activated about 15 minutes prior to the meeting start time.

Deputations for Committee of Adjustment- Public Participation
Deputatants have two options for public participation at a Committee of Adjustment meeting:
- Anyone wishing to submit comments, which will form part of the public record, may submit written comments to the Secretary Treasurer at email@example.com by 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Friday before the week of the meeting in order that they can be circulated to the Committee of Adjustment prior to the start of the meeting.
- Anyone wishing to speak to the Committee of Adjustment virtually (audio-telephone in) must register by contacting the Secretary Treasurer at 905-833-4067 or email firstname.lastname@example.org no later than the Friday before the week of the meeting at 12p.m. (noon). When your registration is received, a confirmation message and instructions for participating in the virtual public meeting will be provided.
It is required that the owner or the authorized agent of the owner make personal representation at the hearing. If you do not attend or are not represented at this hearing, the Committee may: defer the hearing to a date and time convenient to the Committee; may proceed in your absence to make a decision; or may consider the application to have been abandoned or withdrawn and close the file and you will not be entitled to any further notice in the proceedings.
