On October 22nd, the following positions of office will be elected, by voters of King Township:
Mayor
Ward Councillor (one per Ward, Wards 1 to 6)
Regional Chair (NEW to York Region - all electors will now elect the Regional Chair)
NOTE: With the recent passing of Bill 5, the election of Regional Chair is no longer in effect.
The Municipal Act, Sec. 224, 225 and 226 define the roles of Council and Head of Council.
NOTE! Bill 5 - Changes due to Bill 5 have rescinded the 2018 ELECTION OF YORK REGIONAL CHAIR
