Fill :  means any type of material deposited or placed on lands and without limiting the generality of the foregoing, includes soil, stone, concrete, construction materials, asphalt, sod or turf either singly or in combination.

All fill activity in the Township of King requires approval from the Township of King Engineering & Public Works Office. It is the ultimate responsiblity of the owner to apply for and obtain a fill permit if required, failing to do so may result in a remediation of the property at the owner's expense.

Depending on location a permit may also be required from either The Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority or The Toronto and Region Conservation Authority. Filling in any of the above jurisdications without first obtaining a permit is prohibited.
