Nov. 6 update​

We are now open for business at 2585 King Rd. 

Please be advised that parking will be limited this week as the parking lot is still being completed. 

We hope to have full parking by the end of the week. We apologize for any inconvenience. 

​Oct. 19 update​

The official​ move date has now been set. 

We will be closed for business at our current offices on Fri., Nov. 2 and Mon., Nov. 5 to facilitate the move.

The new offices at 2585 King Rd. will open at 8:30 am Tues., Nov. 6.

​Oct. 1 update​

 ​Work continues on the new municipal offices at 2585 King Rd., King City.

As we get closer to the move date, here are a few things to know: 

Our phone number (905-833-5321) and all extensions stay the same.

Our new address is 2585 King Rd., King City.

Our postal code (L7B-1A1) stays the same.

As we get closer to the move date, we'll communicate the actual day through many different channels, including this website, our social media feeds and the weekly page in the King Sentinel. Stay tuned!​

​August update

​​​Construction of the​ new municipal centre at 2585 King Rd. is in full swing.

Here are some recent photos showing progress both inside and outside the building.

The increased space will allow staff to provide better customer service and add much needed public-use areas. These will include a larger council chamber and multi-use gymnasium/event space.

The two-st​orey building will be more than 46,000 square feet.

Many sustainability features are planned for the building and surrounding area. These include an electric vehicle charging station, a geo-thermal heating and cooling loop system, reforestation of some of the land and incorporating sustainable building materials and mechanical systems in the building.

The cost of the project is being financed using infrastructure and development charge reserves and the proceeds of the sale of the current property at 2075 King Rd. YRP will also make a capital contribution and sign a lease for its space.

The building construction is scheduled to be complete by the end of this year.
