Schomberg residents are able to enjoy a number of sporting activities: Baseball, Curling, Hockey, Skating, Soccer, Tennis. The Parks, Recreation and Culture Department of King Township offers a wide variety of programming for all ages throughout the year.

Residents have many opportunities to socialize at events organized by various groups throughout the year such as: musical events, dances, and socials. Other physical activities include: dance classes, hiking in the local area, Tai Chi, and activities for seniors. The Annual Schomberg Street Gallery is held in September.

Schomberg Agricultural Fair is held during the last weekend of May at the Schomberg Community Fairground and Arena. It is organized by the Schomberg Agricultural Society, and has beren a part of the community for 160 years. Some of the attractions include: a midway, demolition derby, musical entertainment, horse shows, conklin rides, various vendors and exhibitors, displays in the arena, contests, school accomplishments, and other activities inviting the participation of attendees.

For information visit www.schombergfair.com Another popular event is Schomberg's "A Main Street Christmas", which is held on the 1st Saturday of December. The event boasts an afternoon of Santa Claus Parade and an old fashioned Victorian atmosphere with festive foods and entertainment for young and old, along historic Main Street. The evening is capped off with a spectacular "The Parade of Lights" - brought to you by our local farmers - tractors all lit up with Christmas lights - this is an annual, holiday tradition you don't want to miss!
